Global Voice Group was founded in 1998 and initially offered Carrier services which enabled the historic land-line operators to manage their international traffic in a consistent and profitable manner. This activity - carried out for over ten years all over Africa and the world - allowed Global Voice Group to build up its expertise in the Telecommunications sector in general and more specifically in that of international telephonic traffic. After ten busy years working with the historic operators and rising to the challenges faced by the African Telecoms Regulatory Authorities, Global Voice Group refocused its activities in order to become the Regulators’ technical partner. By putting turn-key solutions – adapted to their specific needs – at the disposal of the Regulators, Global Voice Group has in effect helped to raise standards on technical and technological level. Global Voice Group supplies the following solutions to the Regulators enabling them to: • Supervise and control their international traffic in real-time, • Manage the interconnections bordering their countries • Provide to local operators, additional revenue on international incoming calls as well as, to Government, substantial revenue on their international gateways • Fight the phenomenon of by-pass on grey routes in an efficient manner.
These solutions supplied by Global Voice Group have furthermore contributed towards providing telephone users with the highest possible levels in Quality of Service.
For over 12 years Global Voice Group has been present in Africa and the group continues to expand its coverage of the continent by strengthening its win-win partnerships with both Governments and Regulators.
